This design is offered to pique your imagination and encourage experimentation. The hull is rugged and seaworthy and be utilized for paddling, rowing or sailing, just for starters. Construction is simple and designed to be easy on the bankroll...basic-ally the hull can be built with one sheet of 1/4" ply and two 16’ spruce decking planks (5/4" x 6").

It is an easily driven hull illustrated by a third place taken by two novice girls rowing in a fixed seat division of the '86 Newport Small boat Race. Consider it an entry level pulling boat...ideal for a slid-ing rig installation.

An interesting option is to make the bottom crowned compound curved by torturing the plywood. This enhances strength, performance and appearance.
